Grand Prize Winner
Dear Ms. LeBlanc,
I'm still stunned that I actually won! I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed taking The LeBlanc Challenge; it really was a challenge, but making me work for it actually makes winning this much more enjoyable. I had almost as much fun answering the challenge questions and writing the essays as I had reading your books. I've always been an avid reader of fiction, especially what my family calls "Mom's spooky books". I've also been in awe of those that can write fiction and wished I had as much talent, so having my essays judged as worthy of a grand prize is a very big honor for me. While winning the grand prize is fantastic, finding a new author to add to my favorites is a great bonus! I'm looking forward to reading your next book, with or without another challenge, just for the shear enjoyment of your stories :)

In case I forgot while we talked on the phone this morning (most of which is still a blur due to my excitement) I wanted to say thank you for sponsoring The LeBlanc Challenge and calling me personally to congratulate me. I believe I've now managed to call every single person I've ever known to tell them I've won and I may just be coming back down to earth now. In addition my niece, whose school is the recipient of the $1000 donation for the purchase of books, may have elevated my "cool" status a few notches. That may change when I tell her I think she needs to read all $1000 worth of books the school purchases before she graduates. Wouldn't that be a challenge!

Again, thank you for the wonderful prize. Winning this just before the holiday makes Christmas seem quite a bit brighter this year; may your holiday be just as bright and your New Year full of happiness!
